Thanks Daz,
I was considering the AD200 as it is almost the same size as a standard strobe with the advantage of a changeable heads and can in turn replace my Yongnuo 560 series that are purely manual.
I do like the look of the Rotolights and have watched some of the Jason Lanier videos of his use of these for portraits shoots - very interesting but expensive.
Ahh you may have noticed me in the Aeos video that was put out the last time he was in the UK when we were shooting in the park with Brenda !! I will be in the new one for the Neo 2 that is releasing soon
The Aeos is awesome, I went out last night and we were late getting to the location and if I didn't have an LED of some sort I would have had to cancel the shoot, we had zero light, the 500 is great but even that would have struggled with focus !!
The fact I can also shoot it at any temperature I want is amazing. There are a couple photos at the bottom of this post from shoots the last couple days
I cant wait to get my Neo 2, I have been bugging Rod every day as to where mine is
That is one thing that I dont like, there have been quite a few reports of issues with the connections between the heads going on rendering them useless ...
I do get the Rotolights are expensive, I am glad I was able to get mine on a deal !! However I will take shooting with the Aeos (or Neo 2 when it arrives) any day over my 600, they are so much easier to shoot with
These shots were on the Suspension Bridge, there would be no way I would get away with setting up the 600 and a beauty dish on a light stand, with the Aeos I literally put it on the floor or on the railing and shot away
