Hi from NC

I picked up a D5100 and a 55-300mm lense. I am looking forward to learning photography with my DSLR.

I am planning on reading a lot of the posts and asking a few questions. I have seen many beautiful photos on this forum and recognize that there is a vast amount of experience here. I hope to learning things from y'all.

Hello sir...with the 5100 and 55-300 you have quite a versatile kit...you are in the right forum! Add some photos to the gallery and try out the Photo Critique thread.

Hi everyone and thanks for the welcome. I am looking forward to using my equipment. I welcome all suggestions and tips to get started. I am a little time constrained right now, but I am making some time to slowly learn. I am experimenting with depth of field right now.
