Panorama Photo Possible w/D3100?

I've looked in the users manual and my copy of D3100 for Dummies, but see no mention of being able to do a panorama photo. Can it be done, is there a setting? Or will it have to be the old-fashion way of stitching with a software program? Thanks.

Geez Mike that looks like a fantastic program to try out. I will have to go out and find a suitable subject for a panorama when the weather clears. Thank you.

Most, if not all panorama shots are done using the stitched method. I'm not aware of any ?DSLR that does it in camera. That's not to say there isn't.........I'm just not aware of any. And yes, ICE is a great program for stitching............and it's free! :)

My Nikon L110 had a "Panorama" setting but it really just gave you a template to keep your shots lined up. Then you had to use the Nikon Pano software to stitch it. I'm going to try and take some shots with the 3100 and stitch them with that software. I'll let you all know how it turns out...
