NFC anyone??

In my younger days if F3 and 55 micro Nikkor, we used a long cord to remote operate it, well you might still use that cord ?
The cellular phone, wifi were not even invented, and lately there is something like NFC on all gadgets I can see, even on my d7200 camera and my Samsung 6 edge + phone.

Can I use my NCF wifi bluetooth phone with my d7200 out in the fieeld in any way? I see some apps on Playstore, but Im really too old to walk into that area. But a nice remote "operation" out up in the mountains would be nice, that cord I should like to leave at home.

That app is a ML-L3 on my phone. Easy and simple shutter release. Nothing fancy Work ok.
