Lens upgrade

I am looking to add a good sharp all around carry lens must be a 2.8 zoom as well should have be a vr lens.
I presently have the standard 18-35 as well as a tokina 11 -20 2.8 an 50 1.8 prime. so I looking at something with a little more zoom.

Depending what kind of reach you are after, I'd say the best f2.8 zooms are the 70-200's. I have the Nikon VRII and it is excellent, and I hear the Tamron and Sigma versions are well worth the investment too. Another option is the 24-70 f2.8 models, but as I say, it depends how much more zoom you are after?

I'd suggest either the Tamron 24-70mm or the Tamron 70-200mm; I own one of each and they're both amazingly sharp and fast. Some of the best glass I own.

I walk around wih the Tamron 24-70mm on whatever body I'm carrying at the time (usually the D750 but when I take the D7100 out I swap it on as well)....my go to walk around lens. :)
