Hi all, my name is Dave. I'm from the north-west of the UK and I've just joined after discovering "Nikonites" during a website search. I'm a self confessed Africa addict and spend as much time there as my limited budget will allow. To keep costs down my wife and I always rough it, camping in the bush. Not only does it make a trip affordable (apart from the cost of flights!!) but it allows us to go where we want to go and see what we want to see without having to worry about moving on or other people in a group not wanting to do the same thing. In our 25 years of travelling in Africa we've had some great experiences and, since we started taking photos in recent years, we've got some decent shots.
I qualified s a safari guide in 1997, doing a training course in Zambia and have escorted a number of people (mainly as a hobby) and helped many more people plan their trips since.
