What you said! In that video the lens is a Noctilux I think...read 11K US Dollars.

Look at the S2...best DSLR made to date...has a Kodak USA made sensor...60% bigger than full frame...7% smaller than medium format...digital! How about 27K $ and the lenses start at about 7.5K $...

It is amazing! I can't believe we don't make stuff like Leica, Nikon, the C word, etc. in the USA...

You know a lot of the newer upper end Nikon gear (and old stuff) and many of the Nikkors are/were made by very similiar processes to what you see on the video...eg. by hand...
