Astrophotography - My Location

Hi,

I just posted another question on the same topic about which lens to use.

But this time the question is different. I'm living in Sri Lanka which is very close to Equator

The question is : When its come to astrophotography, is my location is a good country, bad country or it does not matter?

Eitherway I do understand that it has to be a darkday, away from city etc.

Your country isn't fully covered by the map but the part that is looks good for astrophotography.



If you stay away from the bright areas, you'll have close to no light pollution.

Wow... Yes. so it should be good. So let me do some homework and try the pictures out myself. Only issue is moon is getting brighter
