Owls Head Maine light house.
Not a very tall light house located on a cliff in Owls Head Maine. Powered by a single 1000 watt bulb and a Fresnel lens. This beacon can be seen from 16 nautical miles. This light actually has two 1000 watt bulbs. If one burns out the other automatically swivels around to take its place. And a signal is sent to the coast guard letting them know the back up bulb is in use.And the unit requires service.

Nice to see that lighthouse again. We used to visit that area almost every year 'before we became poor'. (family joke referring to my daughter in college) I didn't carry a camera around back then, gotta get back there.
