I want a camera that goes along with the D 60

I have a D60. I want upgrade to a newer model that takes the same lens and attachments. This way all I have to do is buy just the box. I would like to get one with video. I want two cameras so I don't have keep changing the lens. Help !

How much, or how little, do you want to spend? The D3300 would be a good (relatively inexpensive) choice, IMO; and it meets your criteria.

Refurbs are going for for $300 on Amazon.

Get the 7100, similar controls and much better IQ. Depending on your wallet size, the 7200 could be even better.

Get a refurbished D7000. Why? Because I like them.

Personally, I like the D7x00 recommendations. Great camera, will use the lens(es?) you have already, and helps capture great images.

Why do you want a second body instead of changing lenses ?

Surely the easiest way to go would be to double up on the D60 ...

I'm actually buying a D300 just for that reason...(or maybe a D700)

I would say the 7100 if it's in your budget. I, too, carry two cameras. I don't like switching lenses in the field.

What is the budget? That would help with recommendations. You could easily spend $300-$1200.
