I've been lurking around for several weeks as a non-member for about a week and finally created an account ..I read a lot of useful tips/reviews from friendly members here..Been shooting with a nikon d5200 but I just recently purchased a Nikon d750..still in the beginning stages of learning..

Your upgrade is similar to the one I took last year, going from a D5100 to D610 (the D750 was not yet released).
Lots to learn in that transition.
BTW spent Christmas in Mississippi this year - son and family live in Columbus MS.
Much warmer than my hometown in northern Canada. Makes me chuckle when his in-laws complain about the "cold snap" you have been experiencing of late. Still lots of snow here and sub-zero temps.

Six here too - below zero.
Still get a little outdoor shooting in the winter on the warmer days - like today, but lots of time to hone your indoor photography skills.
