Hi,
Brad from Fort Smith Arkansas. I have been an avid photographer for numerous years.
I am currently using a Nikon D40. I am looking to upgrade to a D5100 or 3100. I mainly photograph birds, nature, and buildings. I am teaching myself how to shoot birds in flight. I have started with bigger birds first.

I shoot with the D3100 and really enjoy it. Can't wait to see some of your work.

Welcome Brad, My wife and I was just in your neck of the woods a couple weeks ago on a rented Harley while visiting our son in Beebe, Ar.

I will never forget the image in my head of this huge woodpecker I saw fly across the road in front of me. Wish I could have captured a picture of it.

Welcome to Nikonites, Brad. The D40 is a great camera. Don't get rid of it! Makes a great back up camera to whatever else you're going to get, be it a D5100 or the D3100.........both great cameras, too. I hope you enjoy your stay with us and find the site useful. Got any questions, just ask.
