After much deliberation about a budget wide angle for my D810, a Tokina 16-28 finally arrived at the door this morning:)
Some backyard test shots confirmed everything was working and focus was accurate. All the reviews I previously read seem quite accurate, especially it being so weighty! It's sharper than my 24f2.8D, a fraction sharper than the Tokina 116 dx lens, but not as sharp as some reviewers may make it out to be. Still pretty good though and definitely sharp enough. CA is almost non existent and corner sharpness is acceptable at f8.
This is my third Tokina and I'm sure it will become a valuable member of the team!

How do you find the "grip" on the 810 ? ... sounds silly I know but the grip on my 800E has always felt "skinny" and I like the look of the 810's version...
cheers
