This thread is a perfect example of what the moderation team posted a few days ago: When to post in your Blog and/or Gallery vs Forum.

And this goes for the rest of the community as well, I'm not trying to pick on PavementPilot. This doesn't really belong in the forum. Here, a member is merely sharing photos, and these should've been posted to the member's gallery instead of creating a new thread.

Things should be posted in the Forum when:
  • You have a single picture that you want some constructive criticism on (Photo Critique Forum)
  • You have a question on taking a specific picture
  • Your photo relates to a specific topic being discussed (i.e. a specific lens, camera, photo thread, photo challenge, or used for illustration purposes)
  • You are learning or displaying something over time (like a 365)
More than anything else, the forum is for discussion. It's for asking questions, getting feedback, and interacting with your fellow Nikonites. If all you really want to do is share your images, just upload them to your gallery.

Great shots Dave - Like Anthony said, this may not belong in the forum, but maybe would be better suited for a blog post.
