And I noticed that you get a visual and audio focus confirmation when manually focusing! The central focus square illuminates red and beeps at you. Having been raised with Nikon cameras since my childhood this seems like an astonishingly wonderful and pleasant tool compared to the "green dot and arrows" I'm used to. When are we going to get such earth shattering manual focus technology in our Nikon cameras?

I like that about Canons as well. The feature I think is absolutely spectacular is that on the lcd display (I don't know if it's on every model) it will show you the blow out areas in the image on the lcd. That's why I look at these two brands as vanilla and chocolate. Each is great and has its own merits.
