Shots from my first Air Show

Here are some shots from my first airshow. Attended the Wings Over Houston event this past Sunday. Shot with a Nikon d7000 and a Nikon 80-400 VR (first version). Mostly shot handheld.

Nice photos, but I love the seasoned citizen at the end.

That was the last photo I took that day. After the show ended my buddies left and instead of getting in traffic I decided to walk back down and see some of the planes again. As I was walking out I saw him sitting there and said Hi to him. As I walked past I said to myself take a picture of that, as he sat looking at the plane. As I did a guy was walking by and said, "That's gonna be a good pic". For some reason I like it too. I really wanted to go back and get a portrait of him with his air force cap on, but for some reason didn't go back.

For me it's the fact that he is living history and has witnessed so much of what is going on around him and like an old sage he sits to share the wisdom of a lifetime with those that ask. Great photo.
