D7000 taking photos when changing lenses

Hello all.
I was an avid photographer in my teens but after turning 40; married with four children I recently took up an old hobby and purchased a friends D7000. I use to run a Nikromat with three lens 50 / 2.0; 180 / 2.8; 28 / 1.8 which thankfully all work beautifully on my D7000.

However, when I am changing the lens over for some reason it takes 1,2 photos by itself.

Any ideas?

To be more precise. As soon as the manual lens is connected the camera fires off a shot or two.

Not sure why it happens (I suspect something in the mounting ring is making brushing the contacts in a way to make it fire), but maybe just turn off your camera? It's a good idea to get used to it anyway, and a recommended practice since swapping VR equipped lenses with the power on could result in damage to those systems.

It apppears the logical answer.
Sometimes when the bayonet is partially engadged it will fire off a shot.
I will take your advice and change lens when its turned off.
