Nikon is famous for its SLR cameras. What is the unique selling point of the Nikon camera models?

I think it is their ease of use, the camera functions and menu's are laid out rather logically as opposed to some other cameras. Nikon Quality Lens are another issue. Sure there are many brands, I have used different cameras of different brands for different jobs.
Everyone has an opinion or preference. I believe in getting the best equipment for the job, be it Nikon or any other brand. Personally, I have found Nikon to have a very functional layout for my Digital SLR and have tried another brand, getting to the basic features was just too complex and time consuming, with not only menu's but sub menu's etc.. etc...
Shooting for myself, I like using my Nikon, I also like using Medium format, that are a different brand, but that is a different type of photography.
