Pied-Billed Grebe Family

I have been watching a group of Pied-Billed Grebes grow up, with Mom not too far away, this summer. The juveniles are cute little things, and look very different from the adults. I thought I'd share a few pics.


A young Grebe is on the left, with a pair of young Coot. The grebes and young Coots hang together quite a bit.

Did you know that in AR if you divorce your wife it is ok to go back to calling her "sis"?

These are really fantastic photographs. When you’re composing your close-up bird shot, the background is extremely important for ensuring an effective photo.
