I am new to this type of camera and always had a pocket instamatic yeah I know , oh I did have a black & white polloride camera. Yeah thier old I know , I have a nikon d3100 and used it a couple of times the images are great but I would like a another lens but thier expensive I know the more you pay the better but I would like advice. I don't mind 2nd hand , I was in Goa lays year I was taking a photo of a monkey in the tree but I wanted it closer but couldn't get it closer or clearer please can you assist or let me know where I can get a lens for yes a good price. , and not get something which is not uses full cheers. I await your reply and thanks

From your description, it sounds like you are looking for longer reach from a telephoto lens, but you don't mention what lens(es) you have already.

Take a look at the Nikkor 70-300 VR. Refurbed or used, it's not a bad price, but does a nice job at those long shots!

welcome to the forum. the nikon 55-200 vr lens is a bargain and may give you the reach you need.

Welcome to the forum. I use a 55-300 from amazon warehouse deals. Good prices too. Just make sure its Amazon you buy from and not a 3rd party supplier then you know its not grey
