These are my first raw photos!I couldn't upload from my new laptop to my gallery, so I'm trying the attachment method! lol
What software did you use to process them and then convert them to JPEG?
You probably used Shotwell. I believe that was the only other photo program on there besides Darktable.
Simple/basic operations - converting, resizing, cropping...of the RAW, can be done with some free-of-charge "viewers" (XnView, for example).
He's on Linux. Those won't work on his laptop.
Oh, I missed that one. Sorry. But, then again, it seems there is a Linux version, too: Install Latest XnView 0.61 in Ubuntu and Linux Mint | UbuntuHandbook
Shotwell, Darktable or RawTherapee are very, very free. And not just as in "free beer".
Congratulations on stepping into the RAW. As Wendy on here told me when I finally pushed her into Raw... a whole new world opened up.
