Some absolutely gorgeous birds there. They would not last 10 minutes in my house with my cats. There would be feathers EVERYWHERE.

I remember the fairgrounds well. If you go to the western part of the fairground, on the wooded part along Blue Ridge Rd and take a metal detector with you, you are bound to find Civil War relics. My Dad found some large grapeshot there many years ago

That's cool....now for a metal detector.....wait!.....my wife says one hobby at a time! lol
