Strange Little Critter in the Yard

Was out in the yard earlier practice focusing and keeping the camera steady at 200mm when I spied this little furry, slow moving critter. I circled around, keeping what I thought was a safe distance. Managed to get a few decent shots, before it raised up on it's hind legs and bared it's teeth.

If I send these to the San Diego Zoo, could they identify it?

Chupacabree!!! I've heard all about these ferocious creatures from the kids in our school from Mexico. Dangerous they are!
