I'm not sure the age of this razor, but it's probably somewhere on the order of ten years old. I've had it long enough to have worn out one set of heads and needed to replace them.
It's an odd thing. My father always favored the cheap vibrating type of electric razor. At some point, before I was old enough to have a use for them, an uncle gave me two of his old Norelco razors. Once I began to grow whiskers I used the better of the two, and later gave the lesser one to my brother. I used that first Norelco for many, many years, until one day, it just literally fell apart in my hands. I've only ever bought and used Norelcos since. On some occasion, several years ago, I had occasion to notice that my brother also used a Norelco, albeit a much more modern one than the lesser of the two hand-me-downs from our uncle that I passed on to him.
