nice colours in the wood and the leather, great looking boots too. I think the plank at the top distracts a little, but nice clear image though

I think it's a cool idea, and even better it something you can maybe play around with and build on if you wish.

I dare you to take the same shot in sunset (hopefully the porch faces the sunset?) and maybe add a tool and/or pair of gloves to that shot!
I bet you can really turn that shot into a great story.

If sunset is not an option, but you have flashes, you could try using CTO gels on the flash(es) to try and mimic the same effect. Or a lamp/candle maybe to give it a nice warm glow.
