Focusing on the D7000

The D7000 has a variety of focusing options. Whats the best setting to use for street photography where you are trying to capture moving objects? i know the tracking feature (i think its AF-C) is useful but needed some more info on setting focal points, etc

Yes, AF-C and you could use the 3D tracking mode which is best suited for objects moving across the field of view. Alternatively you could try Auto or the 39 point mode. Setting focus points for moving objects wouldn't be practical (too slow). I use the AE-L/AF-L button to lock focus quickly if I need to.
