Automatic sensor cleaning question

I just want to know if you can hear and/or feel the vibration in the camera when the automatic cleaning is running. My boyfriend has a Cannon 7d and you can both hear it and feel it. I'm wondering if mine isn't working and that's why I'm having so many spot issues. (I so have it set for automatic cleaning in the menu)

You don't feel it and the camera is supposed to be sitting stationary on a hard surface to be most effective.

Cant feel mine working,must be better engineering
