This afternoon's Walk-About

Decided to play hookey from work this afternoon. Mainly because it a -7°F last week, and today was 68°F. Screw work. Hasn't been that warm since November.

So I parked on the south edge of downtown, strapped on a pair of D600s, popped on the 24-120/4 and 70-200/2.8 and started hoofing it.

Best I managed was 30 minutes on the deck when it hit 48 degrees, and most of that was spent with the grill and not the camera. I probably should have shot the steaks - they were awesome. Hindsight. Today is supposed to hit the mid-50's. As soon as my afternoon meeting is done I'll be out there.

They are seriously good shots. I think the railway crossing and the stop lights are my faves.

Last one. I had a helluva time getting the sky right.

Did not like this in color so tried it this way.
