trading in 85mm dx macro.

I am thinking of trading in my 85mm DX macro for either the older 105mm/2.8 or Tamron 90mm/2.8. Any suggestions?? The 85 is great just want a little faster and reach. Especially with 610. I might even add it to my 3100 as a package to sell.

Go the 105 if you can, I am thinking of getting that aswell even though I have the 90mm Tamron.

Glass tends to hold it's value, 85mm is no exception. Good luck.

If you are into macro, the 105mm or 200mm f4 macro would be the ideal lens for the job.

IMO the longer the better. You can always step back if needed, but can't always move closer.
