Great shots, Sambr. Great shot of a pounce in the second shot, and in the third, the owl looks like it's checking to see whether you're coming after its meal.

And they used to tell us that owls only hunted at night!

Thank you Glenn. Yes it was caught by the Owl, really incredible they do a face plant at times to get the mouse from under the snow. I don't bait any game. All my photos are animals in their element and surroundings, no zoos or captured birds or wildlife. You will never find a leg band on any of my bird shots or an ear tag or collar on the mammals.

Thank you Rick - I was surprised too! However it didn't bother the "snowy owl" I photographed two years ago either.
