d5200 and lens distortion update

You might as well take the update, you should be able to get a list of the supported lenses.
The update will probably not fix your problem though. If you are having poor focus issues, that is not distortion. You should post a picture to show what is going on. List all of your parameters with the picture. I don't know your experience level, but there are various user actions (or inactions) that can cause blurry or out of focus shots. Depth of field issues, slow shutter speed, misunderstanding of focus modes, etc.
If a picture is still in camera, you can view the focus point used. After the fact, you can see the focus point in ViewNX2. Its best to start troubleshooting with a single focus point and be sure it is on your subject. That takes out one variable. Then you can look for camera shake and shallow depth of field as likely causes.
