D3300 coming soon?

This image popped up today on Nikon Rumors:


To be announced at CES 2014 (in Jan). Supposedly it will come with a new 18-55mm VRII lens that is collapsible! Interesting...

They had at one point talked about a super basic DSLR (D1000?) at one point, wonder what happened to that idea.

I kind of like the color. Why is there a red circle--what is the little doodad for?

Interesting..Wonder what will be different about it versus the 3100 and 3200

I'm not sure if the picture is even real. I can't tell what the circle is for (what is circled is the minimum aperture sensing switch, which is also on the D3200, D3100) and I can't find the differences between it and the D3200:

Honestly, IMO no. If you have a 3200 but want to upgrade, the 5200 is already there and it's not much more than the 3200.
