Display image longer ?

Sorry for a few D800 questions here.............I'm new to owning one.


When I shoot a photo and the image displays in the rear viewfinder, how can I display the image say for another 4 seconds longer etc..?

I've tried reading the owners manual but can't seem to find the answer.

I going by my D600, which is:

Custom Setting Menu > Timers/AE Lock > Monitor Off delay


See page 292 of your manual.

Everyone should have a PDF copy of their manuals. It makes it much easier to find stuff by word-searching. I seldom pull out the paper copy.

Take that one step further.... have the PDF not only on your computer, but on your smart device as well.
