Zeiss just released the much talked about 55mm/1.4.
It is said that the lens is so good that it rivals the medium format when use with a high resolution camera like the D800/E. it is even mentioned that the lens is designed for 40+ Mpixel FF camera that will soon be available in the market.
I can hardly make the most out of the current crop of fine lenses by Nikon or Zeiss on the D800E, so I wonder who will buy this new lens and for what type photography? All this quest for higher resolution (lens and sensor) and sharpness is going somewhere useful for photography? What do you think?
