IR Photography with a D3100

Hi,

just been reading an article in a magazine about using an IR filter with a standard D3100. has anyone tried? What sort of results did you get? Has anyone tried the Neewer filter or is it better to spend more?

taken with a 720 on a 16-35mm with a D300...Aperture F5...Shutter speed was 3 sec...

I have tried ir on my d3100 I have 3 diff filters all produce red images then you need a processing prog with a channel mixer....its harder than it looks kust in the fact that it takes time to learn
