All taken with the Nikon D800 with 85 mm 1.4G this past Sunday.

I like the shots.. you have some really nice ones!! 1669 in 2.5 hours?? You were flying, that is like 11 photos per minute average over the whole time!!

Ya, the final tally was I think 53 GB worth of images. Yikes. I need to stop shooting the D800 like it is a D4, hehe.

Very nice indeed did you use off camera flash as well ?

So yes actually I started out with off-camera flash and wireless triggers but for some reason had trouble balancing the light with ambient. So, then I said to myself to heck with it I'll just put it back on camera and bounce the darn thing which is nuts but I pointed it (without any diffuser) at some large tree trunks to the left of the scene and sure enough the bounced light added a bit of fill. Later on I brought in a large amber reflector which gave the later images the bit of warm glow on the subject and filled up the face a bit. I put it on the ground a few feet in front of the model with me just behind it. There is actually a small lake immediately behind the rock and the model's feet were just maybe a couple of feet from the water. The shots were taken near the former home of Ralph Waldo Emerson, who is a favorite philosopher of mine.
