Hi Cameron,

A great obstacle to good takes in amateur sports is a location issue. You don't control
where the field is. At best, you may find an acceptable angle to the game where the
background will not be "destroying" your shots.

I can assure you that since I've been shooting sports of all kinds, there is enough action
from almost anywhere.

Here are three soccer takes from this summer, where to local team in red lost miserably!

The action is excellent. Two of the three players faces are hidden which is distracting. I wonder if you had shot it lower would the background have been better, and perhaps shallower DOF.
