Hi newbie from hull in the uk :-)

Im looking at buying a nikon for xmas i have around £400 too spend ive been looking at the d5100 it looks really good and has great reviews is this the best nikon for arou d that price ??

Looking at the local second hand shop you could also go for something like a D200, an older but higher placed model. Depends on what you want to reach.
An other option is to go to D5000, but here the D5100 seems one of the best option prise wise.
