Man, was I frustrated!

I was taking pictures at a church function last night. Using my D-90 and, just bought , 18-105. Every picture at 18mm was out of focus and bad depth of field. Switched to Auto, no better. Switched to no flash, no better. AHAH - a flash of brilliance! switched the lens from M to A. All was well.

Ha ha, yes...it seems that switching it from M to A seems to help with the auto-focus, though I'm not entirely sure why.

You mean I am not the only one that has those aha moments.

I keep expecting to see a support group pop up for those of us who suffer from brain farts.

I am in GOOD company then.

hehehe....don't ya just hate it when that happens? Hey.....happens to all of us, so you're in good company, bud.

When I first got my D7000 a friend's daughter asked to check it out (she had a D80). When I got it back all my photos were out of focus. I looked everywhere ... except the AF/M switch on the camera, which I never use. Happens to all of us at some point.
