d3100 vs d5000

I'd say the new D3100 is better. More megapixels (not that it is a big deal any more) and pretty much the same electronics setup as the D5000. The video is a lot better (1080p with autofocus) and the LCD screen is bigger too.

There are two things that it is missing in comparison to the D5000. The 4 fps continuous shooting, and the swivel LCD. I know the swivel LCD is a fluffy feature, but I use it in combination with live view when doing short height or high-elevation (angle) tripod shots, and for manually focusing time-lapse photos. I use the 4fps quite a bit as well for action shots.

I was tossing up with the both as well, just bought the 3100 and so glad I did, luv it.
