Strange shutter noise then viewfinder went black

I was in the middle of a shoot tonight and ever time I turned my camera vertical, the shutter sounded strange, almost like a delay or it was hard for it to close. Then viewfinder went black. I changed lenses, worked fine for a few minutes, then same thing happened. It's not even two years old yet. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sounds like a problem with the shutter mechanism. You really need to stop using the camera and send it in.

Sounds to me like your shutter is starting to fail. Replacing a shutter mechanism isn't that uncommon. That said, if you purchased your camera with a credit card like Discover card, your 1 yr warranty is doubled up to 1 yr by virtue of Discover Card's double warranty program. I think AMEX also offers this policy, too. So check exactly when you bought it and with what credit card and it might be fully covered.
