Hello everyone,

I dabbled in 35mm film photography in the 80s, now getting back into it with the D5100. I've had the D5100 since Christmas and have really enjoyed getting to know the camera and its many features. I highly recommend David Busch's D5100 Guide to Digital SLR Photography for new owners, I've learned so much from it. And I've already learned a lot reading the forums here.

Looking forward to learning more!

Thanks Pat. I was just reading about the 35mm AF-s f/1.8 Nikkor Lens and it looks like it's the next lens I should buy (and the only one I can afford for now!).

That is a good choice... I have been carrying that lately along with my 55-300. I really like it.
