I do not believe it is luck at all Dave.
it is just plain complacency & unprofessionalism at work here.
I can't believe that someone has not sued the crap off Nikon yet.
They have built a reputation of being the very best but recent issues are showing a lack of leadership which is just appalling.
First the D600 had the oil spill issue.
Which honestly i thought & believed that Nikon would own up to it & offer a replacement to all D600 owners - no questions asked.
But hey, they came back with a lack lustre response & worse! They expect folks to either do this by themselves or take it to a center.
Come on, anyone would be heart broken to have a brand new $2k camera being taken in for repairs within a few days of being opened..
It's like taking a new born baby into the ICU.. which will pain like hell...
And now the never-ending issues with the D7100...
Either Nikon really doesn't care about their customers or something is up that we have no clue about.
Quality control is up the pole & it doesn't look like it is getting better.
Thoroughly disappointed with you Nikon.. Never did expect this from you!
