Hi to all,
I just bought a Coolpix from Costco, S6400. Good camera, but charging is an issue. It charges fine from the USB to 110v adapter that is supplied with the camera. However, the cable does not work when using another type of USB adapter power source. like in the car. I tried plugging the cable into the USB first then into the camera, still flashes slow for awhile then fast flash indicating not charging.
The following seems to work:
Plug the cable into the USB power source first. (like in the car, not the one supplied by Nikon).
Plug the cable into the camera.
Wait until the camera beeps once.
Unplug the cable from the camera.
QUICKLY, plug it back into the camera.
The flashing will be regular slow flash and will normally charge...Sometimes.
Anyone else have ideas.
Nick
