I have had a lot of great times with my D40X. But I fear it's days are numbered. The D7000 is most likely in my future this summer.
Just so everyone knows, I really skewed up my D40X by shooting in weather that was more than 20 below zero. The viewfinder has dark areas that look like the screen has folded and then was straightened out. It doesn't show in the pictures, but it makes it a real bitch to line up a shot. Good camera, just not tough enough.
