Hey everybody, another newbie to the site and forum.
I got my first SLR for Christmas, an entry level Nikon D3100. I've had it just over 2 months and haven't put it down for very long! I absolutely love taking pictures and for years have always tried to show I've "had an eye" for it with my iPhone and various apps (Instagram etc). My first camera was a Nikon Coolpix and I guess that's what guided me to choose Nikon for my first 'proper' camera. The creative freedom that the D3100 has given me has been like a new lease of life. I feel empowered to craft my shots, rather than just point & shoot.
I'm lucky enough to have a copy of Photoshop CS6 for post-processing, but I am genuinely a beginner to this. So very happy to receive constructive criticism, tips, advice and very much looking forward to learning the tricks of the trade. I've got a couple of overseas trips planned for later this year; Las Vegas, San Diego and Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. Really looking forward to (hopefully) getting some cracking photos while out there.
