Convert from .mov to .wmv?

I'm new to the Nikon world with my d7000. I downloaded some videos from my 7000 using ViewNX2. When I open the video in ViewNX2 I get video and sound, but when I try to open the same file with Windows Live Movie Maker, I get video but no sound. I would like to upload my video to Youtube or Facebook but I would like to have sound to go with the video. Do I have to convert from the ViewNX2 output file .mov to .wmv so I can hear sound on my video? If so, what software would you recommend to convert the video to the .wmv format?
