I am new to digital photography and I'm up for the challenge. I recently obtained a Nikon D3100 with AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED and AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G.

Welcome to the forum Learnit. You're going to love your camera and lens combination. Won't be long before you're wanting longer lenses and faster lenses and tripods and speedlights and backpacks and filters and Lord knows what else. That's the way I am. Only problem I have is the wife won't let me spend any more money on camera equipment.

Keep your manual handy and take Lots and Lots of shots. Then take lots more. Digital film is very cheap. Then look through your pictures and delete the ones you don't like.
