Shutter speed stuck

Hi guys, can anyone help? My D7000 was working perfectly until last friday when no matter what setting i used the shutter remains set at about 1 second. However when i review the photos and check the properties they are all recoded as i had set in the camera. Ive tried resetting everything and starting again, ive tried it in auto mode and M and ive tried continuous shoot mode but it still just takes one frame per second.
Any ideas?

Are you saying that the camera is shooting at 1" regardless of how you set it, but the metadata reflects something different, or that the camera will only display 1" but still shoots at the speed you want?

Does it just sound like 1 second but the pictures look fine? If the pictures are good and it just sounds slow, there is a setting, D11:exposure delay. It puts the mirror up, waits 1 second, then shutter release. So check D11 setting, it should be off for normal shooting.
