Hi folks, just seen the intro section after getting a few posts in already.
Anyway this is me.
UK member, my 50th coming up later this year.
First camera was a Polaroid.
Best proper film camera was a Minolta, loved that SLR but "moved on" to digital, it never was as good and when D-SLR's came out they were way too pricey for me.
Had a few digital cameras but always wanted to get back to SLR.
So, just got a D5100 about a week ago after seeing they are very affordable now (before you add all the extra lenses, storage bag, tripod, etc etc)
Getting on with knobs and buttons ok so far.
Been watching lots of You tube videos, some great tutorials out there.
Good to see how much better higher digital ISO's perform these days.
Happy to be on the board and thanks to the members who have already helped me out.
